Senator Christine Kaufmann

Christine has served as an advocate for all Montanans since 1988. She has worked hard for policies supporting human rights, clean water, growth management, and women's rights.
Christine currently works as co-director of the Montana Human Rights Network, helping communities confront bigotry and anti-government harassment. She is a former state government employee who worked to promote recycling and toxic waste reduction. She is also a former organizer for the Montana Environmental Information Center, working for clean water and smart growth.
Raised on a small family farm with 11 siblings, Christine went on to earn a Masters degree from the University of Montana. She has been a Helena homeowner and resident for 16 years.
