Issues:
Economic Fairness for Working Families, Retired People, and Small Businesses.
"A thriving economy requires the synergy of several elements: Christine with Dorothy Ecksmall businesses, large businesses, good wages, a good education system, home ownership, and quality of life. Corporations play a role in the economic landscape, but we cannot sacrifice the needs of families, seniors, workers, and small businesses to provide extra benefits and excessive profits for corporations. Fairness does work. All can thrive when good economic and social policies prevail."
Clean air. Clean water. Planned growth.
Christine and friends in the forest"The quality of our environment is the greatest legacy we can leave our children. We must preserve clean water, open space, agriculture land, and roadless areas. We need to be guided by comprehensive land use plans. A clean and healthy environment is more than a constitutional right, it is the heart and soul of Montana. We do not need to choose between jobs and the environment. We can have both. If we're not careful, we won't have either."
Quality Public Education in Safe Schools.
"Public education must be fully supported. Public dollars should go to public schools, not private schools. All children must have the opportunity to reach their full potential in a safe, welcoming environment."
Government that helps people.
Christine in Washington, D.C."The size of government is not nearly so important as the qualityof service it provides. It should help us build vital communities we can be proud of, where all citizens are treated fairly. It should protect the privacy of citizens and protect our clean air and water. Government needs to provide a safety net for our low income neighbors, and offer excellent education for all our children. Government, at its best, is neighbors pitching in to create a place that works for all of us."
